The three grapes varieties from this iconic Grand Cru are harvested together and then slowly pressed with their stems. Kaefferkopf is one one the few Grand Cru’s where you can blend several varieties. Fermented in old wooden foudres where the wine remains on its fine lees for the next 20 months before bottling. The wine is floral and exotic, with notes of apple, pear and bergamot. A sustained underlying minerality pierces through. Sweet toasted almonds and brioche on the finish.
