Golden ale spontaneously fermented and aged for 8 months in neutral french oak barrels. The beer was moved out of barrel and onto organic Driscoll Maravilla raspberries. Daily punch downs of the fruit once refermentation had commenced. The beer was on fruit for two months before being finished in freshly emptied red and white port barrels. Lots of lovely redberry fruit on the nose such as raspberry, red currant and cherries. On the palate it offers a complimentary bitterness that keeps the fruit in check, curtesy of the oak. Full of flavour and body.
